Lowndes County Board of Education is accepting bids for the construction of the Lowndes Middle School Track including the installation of a new six (6) lane asphalt track to replace the existing track. The project also includes the construction of field event facilities, sidewalks and an infield drainage system. Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. A Performance Bond and Insurance in a form acceptable to the Owner will be required of the successful Bidder. The contractor responsible for the paving must be Georgia Department of Transportation prequalified. All markings shall be installed by a qualified line marker having marked a minimum of twenty (20) track and field facilities. There will be a mandatory pre-bid meeting on Thursday, January 11th, 2018 at 10:00 a.m., at the front office of Lowndes Middle School, 2379 Copeland Road, Valdosta, GA. 31601. Bids will only be accepted from the contractors attending the pre-bid meeting. Lowndes County Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all bids. Lowndes County Board of Education will receive sealed bids on this project until Thursday, February 1, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the front office of the Lowndes County Board of Education Office, 1592 Norman Drive, Valdosta, GA 31601, where at such time and place the bids will be publicly opened and read.
